Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW)
Children at the 10:00 am Mass on Sunday are invited to hear the Liturgy of the Word at their own level. They go forth after the opening prayers of the Mass to the daily chapel and return at the beginning of the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Adult team leaders preside and supervise the children.
Christ Renews His Parish is a spiritual renewal process which calls together the members of the parish to experience personal conversion and Christian community in the environment of our parish. It is simple; it is conversion; it is learning; it is faith building. A team of parishioners conducts a renewal weekend at the parish for a two-day, one overnight program. These men and women become a faith community which grows together over a six month period so that they can conduct the next renewal weekend.
The labyrinth is one of the oldest contemplative and transforma- tional tools available for prayer, meditation, personal and spiritual growth. It welcomes all seekers and offers an authentic spiritual connection. This powerful tool, unlike a maze, is unicursal, offer- ing only one route to the center and back out again. The path gently leads you to the center of both the labyrinth and yourself. The labyrinth is located in the outside gathering area of the main church.
The Re-membering Church ministry provides a path back to full participation in the Church Community. This program is a vehicle to assist Catholics who have been away from the church to ask questions. It provides information on the Church today. This ministry provides elements of prayer, scripture, the sacraments and general knowledge. The program tailors itself to the requirements of those attending. Facilitators provide a caring and friendly atmosphere for participants. They also provide information on specific subjects and answer questions of attendees. The foremost purpose is to heal past hurts and provide a path back to full participation.
Small Christian Communities
Small Christian Community are Catholics interested in allowing the Word of God to guide their daily lives. They study the bible and discover ways to live it. This group of 8 – 10 people gather weekly, usually in someone’s home, to connect life and faith. A group facilitator leads them in sharing their experiences, hearing the Word of God, and then in discussing how the message of the readings applies to their daily life.
